AppleTV+ downloads won‘t play without Wi-Fi

I downloaded few episodes to the iPad mini of my daughter. In flight mode it does not play any of the episodes. It prompts to connect to wifi and that the episode is not allowing to play without wireless connection.

it’s pretty annoying and of course doesn’t make any sense when you are traveling.

i started few episodes with Wi-Fi now and enabled flight mode again. It was playing one episode but fast forward or start from beginning was again not working at all

any ideas?

It sounds like those episodes may not have successfully downloaded or the downloads didn't complete. When you're able to, try downloading one at a time, using these steps and a reliable Wi-Fi network: Download and stream shows and movies from Apple TV+ and Apple TV channels

"Open the Apple TV app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac.
Browse or search for a movie or TV show.
Find the download button and tap or click it.
To find and play your downloads, go to the Library tab, then tap or click Downloaded.
