Cannot complete purchase in Apple Store - directed to "The page you're looking for can't be found"

Cannot complete any purchases in Apple Store -each time I am directed to a new page with "The page you're looking for can't be found". this is a dead end each time. I have tried on multiple browsers, I've cleared cookies and website data and asked chat and phone support.
