Apple Fitness + not working, screen turns black on Mac

I have an iPhone 13 Max Pro and a Mac computer (27 inch) that is only 1 year old. I have tried everything. Airplay and screen mirroring, to use fitness plus on my Mac - and it works for like 20 seconds and then the screen goes black every time. Why isn't this working?

iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021, 2 ports)

Please try these troubleshooting steps first if you are noticing an issue when using AirPlay to stream Apple Fitness+ workouts to your Mac: 


  1. Restart your Mac
  2. Update macOS
  3. Restart your iPhone
  4. Update your iPhone
  5. Try using AIrPlay with other supported devices
