Older macbook air compatibility - Ventura

I just went to Apple's compatibility page for Ventura, and it says my early 2015 Air is not on the compatibility list. However, on the Ventura page of the App store, it says that Ventura will run "on this Macbook Air." Which should I believe?

Anyone have experience updating older machines?

Yes, that's exactly what happened. Thanks to both of you for helping out - the app store was, in fact, just looking at the OS version on my machine. No Ventura for the Air. Tough luck, since the machine still runs perfectly and I have no intention of swapping it out just to get the new OS version ;-)

Thanks, that's what the compatibility page says. I'm trying to understand why the App store says otherwise, and if it's true or not. I certainly don't want to try installing it if it's going to break everything, but if, as the App store suggests, it can run on my machine, why not try it?

Therefore I'm really looking to see if anyone has already tried this, and how it worked out.

By the way, at one point Software Update was inviting me to install Ventura. Since the 13.1 update was released, it no longer does this.
