In-app purchases & Apple funds

will in-app purchases come off Apple funds instead of family. My child has Apple funds and she wants to buy in game currency.

Family Sharing Purchase with Gift Card I’m an adult member of family sharing where we share book purchases. I also play a couple of games and have in app purchases where I want to use my own funds. I redeemed an Apple gift card to my own Apple ID because I was informed by various sources that the funds from this card would be used first before defaulting to the family sharing visa. Unfortunately, my in app purchases still default to the family visa. Is there anyway I can use my own funds for app purchases?

Can’t use Apple account balance I’m trying to purchase something in a game for $20. I have $50 in my Apple account balance. It continues to try and force the purchase onto the card that’s hooked up, even though there isn’t anything on said card. I’m part of a family purchase plan, so I can’t add or remove any cards, but I have continually tried to leave and rejoin the family. When I leave the family, and try to edit the card, it says I cannot because I’m “not the head of the family” even though I’m not in one.
