Adjusting Volume in my car causes apple music to play

I have an iphone 17 that is completely updated. Every time I am in my car the bluetooth auto connects and starts to play music. Ok it annoying but not that bad. What is absolutely driving me nuts is that when I am not listening to anything, or a podcast or a youtube video and I adjust the volume from my car stereo, apple music turns on and starts playing! I will just be sitting in my car with nothing and it I adjust the volume the music will just turn on. I try force closing the app and that doesn't work. The music will still play even with the app not open. Please tell me there is a fix for this!!
