I can set up my voicemail pin, but I don't have an option for the voicemail to play.

If your cellular carrier supports visual voicemail on iPhone:
Check your voicemail on iPhone - Apple Support
If not, you would have to use your carrier’s methods to retrieve voicemail.

You need to call your voicemail box xxxx and turn it On.
If you don’t know your voicemail box number, ask your carrier.
The voicemail settings are controlled by your carrier, so contact your carrier.
