Every time after I re-attach my external SSD with my photos library, I have to log-out then log-in again for Photos to be able to open my library. Very annoying! Bug or is there a workaround? I am running Ventura 13.1 on a M1 14" MacBook Pro.

Every time, after I re-attach my external SSD with my Photos library, I have to log-out then log-in again with my user account on my Mac, for Photos to be able to open my library. Very annoying! Bug or is there a workaround? I am running Ventura 13.1 on a M1 14" MacBook Pro. Yes, I have formatted my SSD correctly and "ignore ownership" is flipped on.

Wow, selecting the library when opening Photos with the option key did the trick! (Even though, the external library was already designated as the system library) And it looks like I only had to do it once! Thank you!!!

What errors are you seeing?

Have you tried restarting Photos with the Option key pressed after attaching the SSD?
