I visit a lot of webpages on my iPad that require keypresses, like W or V to activate some element of the webpage. These pages are possibly not written with "accessibility" in mind for devices without physical keyboards, nevertheless any other tablet OS allows me to bring up an on-screen keyboard in such cases.
How do I bring up the iOS on-screen keyboard so that the keypresses are sent to the webpage ?.

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are unable to get the onscreen keyboard to show in Safari when on certain websites. This is because the onscreen keyboard will not show unless there is a field to enter text. You can see if an external Bluetooth keyboard can do this, and here are some that should work with your iPad, depending on what model you have: Keyboards - iPad Accessories - Apple
Otherwise, you will need to reach out to the developers of these websites to have them change the behavior of their websites for devices like an iPad.
