In Mail -> Settings -> Privacy uncheck all 3 checkboxes. It's a new privacy feature to not load images from the Internet. They are not attachments they are links to images that render when you read the email. Many companies are invading your privacy when those images are rendered to know you read the email and when. Some are using single pixel images that would be invisible to you but are still being used in that manner.
