I want a home bar on my iPad

The Home Bar (the line seen at the bottom of the screen) is User Interface (UI) feature of iPad models that do not have a physical Home Button.

iPad models that do have a physical Home button do not have the Home Bar; this is not a configurable option.

I believe the OP actually refers to the Home Bar (correct terminology) - as opposed to the Dock.

I did not realize this. And I have yet to find confirmation in the Apple literature.

This looks like a counterexample from the page I linked above. It shows both a dock and Home Button.
