Apple Music Gapless Playback

Is anybody else having an issue with Gapless Playback after updating to iOS 16.2?

I’ve written emails to Apple and have received no response… the issue is really frustrating me…

Albums like Renaissance and Homecoming Live by Beyoncé are not as fun to listen to anymore because of it… there’s a gap between the songs!

Gapless playback in the Music app still not working in iOS18 This has been an ongoing issue for years now which I have reported several times; small gaps between tracks which are infuriating on live and DJ mix albums, both ripped from CD and streamed from Apple Music. Having been trying to troubleshoot this over the years I’m pretty certain it’s caused by the library sync function which also puts wrong random album art in your library.

Gapless Playback Issue on iOS 16.2 The bad bug is back. Gapless playback in Apple Music, iOS 16.2 on iPhone 14: There is a NOTICEABLE delay between tracks that are intended to be gapless. This issue occurs between every other track, starting with the second transition in a series. Between track 1 and track 2: works fine Between track 2 and track 3: playback delay Between track 3 and track 4: works fine Between track 4 and track 5: playback delay And so on. Give it a try on the Abbey Road, You Never Give Me Your Money sequence and you’ll hear the problem. Or Counting Crows, Butter Miracle Suite One. Or David Bowie, Blackstar. Or any of your favorite gapless music tracks. This issue goes way back and gets fixed in one upgrade only to return in a subsequent one. This one came back with the upgrade to iOS 16.2 Anyone have a fix?

Delay between songs Apple Music on iPhone Apple engineers please step up and eliminate the very annoying delay “gap” (as some of the many customers refer to it in the many other threads for this poor quality engineering problem) that Apple Music introduces between songs played on iPhone. This is a new problem/bug that appeared this week. I’ve not experienced it previously.
