More contacts on icloud than on iphone 12 iOS 16 or ipad Air 2 OS 15.7

I have 590 contacts in my icloud account when I look online. I only show 550 on both my iphone and ipad. I have deleted all contacts on both devices, turned off sync, closed everything, then restarted the phone only. I turn on sync for contacts, wait 3-5 minutes, look in contacts, and see 550 again. I have read and done everything in the support articles about resyncing, updating, etc.

Please note I said the iCloud online is the larger count. This can't be caused by contacts in a 3rd party app, I'm ONLY counting iCloud. I also do not have a Mac.

From your post, it appears that your contacts on the iCloud website do not match those on your iPhone. We'd be happy to look into this with you!

I'll contact support. As I stated, I have done all the steps in the articles.
