iPad phone calls

My incoming phone calls are only on my iPad and I can’t answer on my iPhone when the iPad is near. I adjusted all settings on my FaceTime on both iPhone and iPad and eventually turned FaceTime off. I still see iPad in the drop-down (speaker, car, iPad, iphone) while on a call. I don’t want to have phone calls on my iPad!! What’s up with this newest iOS update!?

I do use FaceTime in my iPad, but it’s turned off now, making it a hassle!
