Field labels in Contacts lost on all devices - Show only at iCloud.com

At some point in the last few weeks (Just speculating, but perhaps caused by implementing all the recent updates to macOS, iOS, and iPadOS) all of my Contact entries on my iMac, MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad Pro have lost their field labels. For example, all phone numbers are just labeled "phone," all email addresses are just labeled "email," all physical addresses are just labeled "address," etc.

I have very few custom labels in Contacts. Just the standard labels offered in Contacts: work, home, fax, mobile, etc. These have all been lost on all of my devices.

If I access iCloud on the web, the prior field labels are all preserved. But only there.

Is anyone else experiencing this, and is there a fix? This is a big deal, since I have several hundred contacts, many with multiple addresses associated with them. From all my devices, I have no way to distinguish which phone number is a fax or mobile, work or home. Same for email and physical addresses.
