I have an old ipad mini (2nd generation) that will only update to IOS 12.5.6 and when I try to transfer my data to my new ipad mini (6th generation), I get a message that says I need IOS 14 or more. What can I do to transfer my data?

Quick Start / Transfer requires iOS 14 or later on both devices.
However, you can use an iCloud or iTunes backup instead and does not require any specific version on the source device.
