Greetings RoosterBooster1,

This is absolutely doable. Use a passcode with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Set up a passcode
1. On iPhone X and later, or iPad with Face ID, go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode. On earlier iPhone models, go to Touch ID & Passcode. On devices without Touch ID, go to Settings > Passcode.
2. Tap Turn Passcode On.
3. Enter a six-digit passcode. Or tap Passcode Options to switch to a four-digit numeric code, a custom numeric code, or a custom alphanumeric code.
4. Enter your passcode again to confirm it and activate it.

Your iPhone 14 can also use Face ID in combination with a passcode. To set that up - Set up Face ID on iPhone

Set up Face ID or add an alternate appearance
• If you didn’t set up Face ID when you first set up your iPhone, go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Set up Face ID, then follow the onscreen instructions.
• To set up an additional appearance for Face ID to recognize, go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Set Up an Alternate Appearance, then follow the onscreen instructions.

Thanks.
