January 1, 1601 birthday showing up in contacts

How do I delete these birthdays that have randomly shown up in my contacts? Too time expensive to delete 1 at a time. In ALL my devices (ipad, ipad mini, mac, iphone, etc.)

iPhone 12, iOS 16

Hi there DBLeeloo,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand you have an issue with your Contacts showing a birthdate and asking how to clear it. There isn't a way to make any edits to multiple Contacts like you asked. But we do want to look at this with you to figure out what might be going on.

  1. Does the date January 1, 1601 show on all contacts for the Birthday or specific ones?
  2. If you correct it on a contact, does it show up again later?
  3. Did you originally import your Contacts from another source?

It sounds like you might be using iCloud Contacts since it syncs to all your devices. If you log in to the iCloud website from a computer web browser, does the same information show in your Contacts?

We look forward to hearing back from you to work on this together.

Take care.
