My Apple Watch says unable to check for updates checking for software updates failed because you are not connected to the Internet

I have my Apple Watch and it’s saying unable to check for updates. Checking for a software update failed because you are not connected to the Internet. I am connected to the Internet also to my watch. But it keeps on saying that it’s not connected. Why is this happening?

Concentrate on getting the Wi-fi connection clean

·      Reset the router to factory settings (menu or paper clip) – even if all other devices connect OK!

·      On iphone Settings, General, Transfer iphone or reset, reset, reset network settings

·      If you have a VPN you are strongly recommended to uninstall it and its profile in Settings, General, VPN and device management

·      Try iphone settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services, Systems Services(at the bottom), turn off Networking & Wireless.

·      Try turning off Private Address in the iphone Wi-Fi connection’s settings (i)

 Then power off the Watch and power off the iphone.

Turn on the the iphone. Turn on the Watch.

Try again.
