I can see where you might have problems. Apple will send a verification email to your old address (to make sure it is you asking this), which in this case has an error in it and you'll never get it. Apple has a document, If you didn't receive your verification or reset email - Apple Support addressing this but I don't know if it will solve your dilemma.
