Garageband: visible waveform audio cuts out inexplicably

Hello.


I have a Garageband issue. I have a Garagaband recording that runs to 2h 39m. The audio waveform is visible in for the entire recording. However, at 1h 36m – the audio cuts out.


See below. After this position in the timeline, no audio is present, despite the visible waveform.


I have tried exporting the track, and opening the package contents and looking at the WAV file, but the audio still cuts out. The visible waveform suggests this data is... somewhere?


This was one half of a podcast conversation and I'm incredibly bummed to have lost this audio.


Please, anyone, help me recover it!
