so iPad, Mac, and iPhone XS does not have uwb at all?

I had an iPhone 12 and got an airtag and it told me exactly how many feet away and which direction my airtag was but only 1 day after my iPhone 12 broke. I switched back to my iPhone XS and it only tells me that its with me... same with mac (and MacBook) and my iPad (not sure which one but it is one of the newer ones). Will none of these be able to tell me exactly where the airtag is?

That's correct. UWB is only available on the iPhone 12 and newer. (I don't believe it's available on the 2022 iPhone SE but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong on that part).
