I downloaded an app, installed it and created an alias which I planned to keep on the doc. It goes onto the doc but when I am finished using the app, at some point it disappears! This keeps happening. How can I install it so it won't disappear?

You can drag and drop any app from the Application folder to the Dock
or launch the App and Control click the Dock icon >Options>Keep in Dock
