Can't check my MacBook Pro serial number on apple coverage.

Just purchased a used MacBook pro and the Serial number doesn't exist on apple coverage, does this mean its not an authentic apple product?

Hello jessengur,

If you have a concern with your purchase we recommend contacting the reseller directly for additional information. If you're unable to locate the device by entering your serial number here, share those details when you contact them.

Please note that if you purchased this device used there may not be any active coverage. Also, be sure your seller has taken the following steps with the Mac: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac

Take care.
