Make sure your screen is locked

How do i make sure my screen is locked? I thought it locked automatically

iPhone SE, iOS 16

The screen automatically locks according to the time you chose in Settings>Display&Brightness>AutoLock.

To lock it manually, tap on your device's right side (power) button.
