Force Restart your iPhone (something recommended after every iOS update):

Press and quickly release the volume up button.
Press and quickly release the volume down button.
Press and hold the side button - Keep Holding until the screen goes dark and keep holding until the Apple Logo appears, then let go
Sign back in when prompted and see if your home button works

If this doesn't work, then schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and options.
