Home button no longer works on iphone 8. Updated to latest update a week ago.

Force Restart your iPhone (something recommended after every iOS update):
- Press and quickly release the volume up button.
- Press and quickly release the volume down button.
- Press and hold the side button - Keep Holding until the screen goes dark and keep holding until the Apple Logo appears, then let go
- Sign back in when prompted and see if your home button works
If this doesn't work, then schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and options.
