have an early 2011 MacBook Pro with High Sierra 10.13.6 and apparently no updates available. why not?

High Sierra 10.13.6 is the highest version of macOS that can be installed on a 2011 MBP. Mojave & later versions of macOS are not supported on a 2011 MBP.
