Recently Moved Countries - Movies Won't Appear on TV App?

Hello, everyone!

This is my first time posting in here, and I searched around for answers to this question. However, unless if I used different terms, I couldn't find anything right away to resolve this issue.

Recently, I relocated countries, and I had to update my Apple account location information so I could purchase and view content in Japan. Sadly, I no longer have access to any of my movies from when I lived in the US. This includes movies that were added through digital code entries and purchased movies through the US Apple TV store. Is all of this lost forever? Do I have to change my locations to access my US movies? Or can I find a way to bring my US movies over to my account even though I have updated it to show I am in Japan?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello Bubbles52

Purchased Media Content, such as Music from iTunes, and in your case, Movies are not cross country transferable. Such media are restricted to only be accessible in the country that you have purchased it from. However, your purchased content is not lost forever. You'll just need to change your Apple ID Country back to your previous country (in your case, the US) to be able to view your purchased content.

Alternatively, I would suggest you to do a full backup of all your purchased media from the US into a separate storage media before changing back to Japan so you'll still have access to your purchased media. This means downloading all your Music and Movies, and then storing it locally in your device, or hard disk. Hope this helps.
