Your iPhone must use the same iCloud and FaceTime account

I am using my gmail as my iCloud ID: xxxxx@gmail.com

What is this ID then: xxxxx@icloud.com

I am unable to remove "xxxxx@icloud.com" this ID. I am also unable to use face time from my Mac. It says "Your iPhone must use the same iCloud and FaceTime account".

I am however reaching calls on my Mac when my phone is close by.

Hi swathidiva,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

We're happy to provide some assistance. It sounds like you're using two different Apple ID, but you're running into issues when making a change to one. Is that right?

For clarification, are you signed in with the same Apple ID on both the Mac and iPhone, and for both iCloud and FaceTime/Messages? Based on the screenshot, we recommend checking that first. On your iPhone, you can check under Settings > [name] > iCloud and Settings > FaceTime, and on your Mac you can check in System Preferences > Apple ID and FaceTime > Settings.

If everything checks out there, please use this link to reach us directly for next steps: Apple Support

Cheers!
