The text message app has disappeared from the Home Screen on my mother’s iPhone. I have to search for it in the App Store to open it for her messages. How do I restore the icon to her Home Screen for easier accessibility? Thanks.

It sounds like the Message app has disappeared into the App Library. On the home screen, swipe left until you enter the App Library. Find the Message app, long press and drag it back to the home screen.
