Character limit in texts before it goes to a sub-text with arrow

How many characters is a long text allowed before going to the sub-text with an arrow to see the rest?

I tested it out. The limit is 4000 characters or roughly around 763 words including emojis-which this one 🤷🏼‍♀️ equals 7 characters. I also read from someone that the iOS text limit is 20,000 before the remainder of your message gets cut off. If you’re having that much to say all at once in a text, you might as well email the person.
