Bluetooth connection overrides USB cable connection
I have a frustrating issue with my MacBook Air, it’s audio / midi interface and my Roland HP 702 digital piano. Basically the only connection to my Roland my MacBook Air will recognise (and configure) in Mac Audio Midi set up is the Bluetooth connection which gives me horrible latency when I’m using software instruments in logic. So I’m trying to establish a connection using USB B to USB C cable (one that supposedly supports high data volumes). The MacBook Air recognises the USB connection when I go to look at system settings…but just not in the audio MIDI set up. I just want to use my digital piano as MIDI controller in Logic. Would an audio interface with MIDI solve my problem? I’ve been on this over a week now and none of the help on audio MIDI set up for Mac seems to work. There is a Roland system update for my digital piano, but it doesn’t contain any changes to drivers - the piano is supposedly compatible with inbuilt Mac drivers. Any assistance gratefully received. Thanks.
