I had the same exact issue as you

I made an appointment at the Apple Store close to where you live and you explained them and they gonna analyse and they gonna tell you what happened ! I got my AirPods Pro replacement for free cause I bought them back in 2020 so like there’s a warranty that cover for my AirPods !
