apple watch downtime

My apple watch series 8 (V. 9.2) goes into downtime everyday at 10PM and goes off at some point in the morning (I believe 8 but as of this question being written i’m on vacation so i haven’t gotten up before 8 to confirm this). My phone does not have downtime enabled (at all), and I turned off all my scheduled do not disturbs that I have set up for during the week. Why does my watch still go into downtime, and how do I fix this so I can use my watch after 10PM?

Temporarily turn off Screen Time completely in the iPhone.

In Settings, Focus, delete all focuses that you can delete

Watch app, General, Focus, ensure Mirror my iPhone is turned on.

Does the watch face have a big yellow ring after 10pm? (ie School time)

If yes then swipe up the control center and turn off school time
