Want to record the story of my life on my iPhone

If Voice Memos doesn't work for you, there are lots and lots of other recording apps in the App Store. And, there are journal apps that let you record both audio and video.

That's an exceedingly broad question. Record it how? Are you asking how to do audio recordings? Video recordings? How to write a journal? What do you ultimately plan on doing with these "story of your life"? Do you want to turn it into a book? Upload it to a website? Burn it to a DVD? I think you need to be clear in your own mind about what it is you want to do so that you can ask specific questions. You can use the Voice Memos app to make audio recordings, the camera to make video recordings, Notes or Pages to write things down.

You may also want to look at dedicated journal apps. I'm very fond of Day One and have been using it for well over a decade.

I want to do an audio first. Then turn it in to a video if I can figure that out. Then get it to a flash drive or get to

iiCloud transfer to my kids i cloud if that is possible. Somehow want to save it in a form I can give it to my kids. Do not want to necessarily give a written journal because I do not think they will sit down a read it. Just a different generation. NOT READERS.
