A friend's flights keep showing up on my calendar

I have no idea where my calendars are getting one friend's flight information, but they keep showing up on my calendar. She says it's nothing she's doing on her end. She's not even a close friend. Why is this happening?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.6

Hi AugieM,

We'll be glad to look into your calendar issue with you. Likely, you've either subscribed to a calendar she'd created and shared or linked some service that does this automatically. WIth that said, you'll need to locate and delete whichever calendar this is coming from.

Information on doing this can be found here: Add or delete calendars on Mac

"Delete a calendar

  1. In the Calendar app  on your Mac, click the calendar’s name in the calendar list.
  2. If you don’t see the calendar list on the left, choose View > Show Calendar List.
  3. Choose Edit > Delete.
  4. Some calendars can’t be deleted.
    • You can’t delete delegated calendars, but you can stop showing them in the main Calendar window. See Share calendar accounts.
    • If you can’t delete a calendar for a particular calendar account, try deleting the calendar on the account provider’s website. For example, to delete a Google calendar, go to google.com.
    • If a calendar account has only one calendar (not counting other people’s calendars you’re sharing), you can’t delete that last calendar.

"

Give that a try and let us know if your issue is resolved.

We hope this helps.

Cheers.
