Restoring Pictures & Text messages to iPhone Question

Hello, my daughter has been having a reoccurring issue with any iPhone she restores her icloud back up to. It was suggested that instead of doing a restore from the back up to the cloud to completely restore her phone with a factory reset then just login to her apple account to restore her photos and text messages to her phone instead to try to see if the issue is cause of an app on her phone. She removed a 3rd party app she used for work and for a day the issue seemed to stop but it is happening again. We don't want to have to send in her phone cause she needs her phone. She has an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Hey there Belletw,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. Just to confirm, is this in regards to your previous thread where your daughter is having issues with the iPhone restarting unexpectedly showing a spinning gear on the display?

If so, have you had a chance to work through the steps listed in the following resource: If your iOS or iPadOS device restarts or displays the Apple logo or a spinning gear unexpectedly - Apple Support

Check your software
Make sure that your device has the latest version of iOS or iPadOS and that your apps are up to date. If the issue continues after updating your software and apps, check your hardware.

Check your hardware
On an iPhone 6 or later, check your battery health under Settings > Battery > Battery Health.
If your battery doesn't need service, and your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch continues to frequently restart or turn off, contact Apple Support.
If your apps quit unexpectedly, learn what to do.
If your device has a frozen screen, doesn't respond, or becomes stuck when you turn it on, learn what to do for iPhoneiPad, or iPod touch.

If still having issues after going through the steps above, then the best option would be to reach back out to Apple Support for additional steps and options at this link here: Get Support - Apple

Take care!
