Call Audio Routing question

I have Call Audio Routing set up to default to speaker when I make or receive calls on my iphone. When I'm in my car, this means the Bluetooth pairing doesn't work reliably.

How do I retain default to speaker when not in the car and still be able to use the Bluetooth function in the car? Does the phone need to be plugged into Apple CarPlay for bluetooth to work?

Change/set default output for calls on Apple CarPlay I wear hearing aids connected to my iPhone 14 ProMax. When I receive a call, my hearing aids are the default output. I have 2 vehicles with wireless CarPlay. When I receive a phone call while connected to CarPlay, the audio used to automatically come through my car speakers. 2022 Honda and 2022 Acura. The sound now comes through my hearing aids unless I manually change the sound source on my phone with each call. Is there a way to set up the sound to automatically come through my car speakers? I’ve looked through the settings on both cars and on my phone and can’t find anything.

iOS 17 or 15 Pro Max Bluetooth connection issues with Volvo car Just upgraded to iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.0.2. Connect to my Volvo v40 via Bluetooth and can listen to audio and make calls. However when I end the call, using either the handset or vehicle controls the call ends in the phone but the infotainment system still sees the call as active. The only way to “end the call” is to switch the infotainment system off and wait for the handset to disconnect from the car Bluetooth before reconnecting. Dont recall having this issue with my iPhone XS which was updates to iOS 17. Any advice greatly appreciated

Talking on My Phone in My Car over Bluetooth If I get a phone call while driving, my phone doesn't always switch to bluetooth. Often I can't hear anything at all. When this happens, I can click on the iPhone's speaker button to pop up a menu with three choices: iPhone, Speaker, and my car's bluetooth. As soon as I choose bluetooth, I can hear my caller fine. But when I'm driving, the last thing I want to do is take my eyes off the road to mess with a popup menu! It's not even legal in my state. This is unsafe. It's a very bad design. (I drive a 2008 Prius. My car's BT just handles phone calls, so I always plug my phone into my car's audio jack for music. That may be confusing the phone.) It would be ideal if my iPhone always used my car's bluetooth when it's available. I can't find a way to do that. It should be the default setting. Is there a way to tell my phone to do that?
