One of the scams going on is where someone contacts you saying you have a virus. They may have your full name from a website that has been hacked.

They may provide your full name, and perhaps even a password you use/have used. They will typically say they have turned on the camera as you have visited xratedsites. They will threaten you that they will release the video of you watching these sites.

Ignore these. If they continue, file with the Internet Crime Report Center. Ignore the threats. If you cannot, let them know all the conversations/emails have been sent to the FBI, which is tracing them. The first time you get this you may be frightened. After a while you realize they are threatening thousands and hope one will respond.

You can check for viruses by going to MacAfee. It's doubtful you have one.
