Hello w4ltz

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. We see exactly what you mean. You've taken some great troubleshooting steps so far. We'd like to provide you with a few more steps that may help to enable Spatial Audio:

• "Turn on spatial audio on your iPhone or iPad

  1. Make sure that you're wearing your AirPods Pro (1st or 2nd generation), AirPods Max, AirPods (3rd generation), or Beats Fit Pro, and that they're connected to your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Open Control Center on your iPhone or on your iPad.
  3. Touch and hold the volume control to turn on spatial audio while you're playing multichannel content or Spatialize Stereo while you're playing two-channel stereo content. This also shows you the status icons.
  4. When you turn on spatial audio with head tracking, audio adjusts based on your head movement. To turn on spatial audio and dynamic head tracking, tap Head Tracked. To turn on spatial audio only, tap Fixed. To turn off spatial audio and dynamic head tracking, tap Off."

• Be sure your AirPods Pro are running the latest firmware version. Firmware updates should be delivered periodically while your AirPods are charging and in Bluetooth range of your iPhone. However, we'd like to verify if there is one available. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, then tap the Info button  next to the name of your AirPods. Scroll down to the About section to find the firmware version. (AirPods Pro 2nd generation Version 5B58)

If Spatial Audio is still not working as expected, we suggest that you reach out to Apple directly. You can follow this link to connect with them: Get Support
