How can I regain access to a phone I paid for?

My daughter who has a disability locked the phone. I am the original owner with receipts Apple has denied multiple attempts to unlock with no explanation. When I called support a the rep offered no resolution other than to call law enforcement. So now I have a phone I legally and legitimately own that I can not use. Is there is absolutely nothing I can do other than buy another device at this point.

Some people have disabilities and society as a whole has a duty to make sure they can function as best as possible.

Apples policy does not take a individual with a disability into the slightest consideration.

the phone is unusable in a find my phone activation lock.

My question is: is the device toast. Do I just give up and buy a android at this point? Is there anything else that can be done?

Is the device going to be rendered useless forever no?

All activation attempts have been denied and password reclamation attempts unsuccessful.

Hi,

Were you placing your requests with this very specific service? https://al-support.apple.com/#/additional-support

Apple says, "Proof of ownership documentation is required," but does not provide many details in the article as to what is acceptable proof. You say you have receipts but were these Apple's own receipts, or something you bought from a third party?

Apple recommends you keep your receipt after you buy an Apple device. --> Keep your receipt after you buy an Apple device - Apple Support

Note that nobody responding to you here can actually do anything about this; we can only advise you. We do not work for Apple.

Hello do0zer

I am so sorry as a part of the community for the situation you are going through. Even though we are not part of Apple as workers directly, we are here to try to find best ways to help you based on similar situation that could potentially help you achieve a solution.

In order for us to help you, we will need a little more detail about the lock. Do you mean screen lock? iCloud lock?

There are several ways to try to recover accounts (In case it's iCloud). If the problem is the phone, it will probably be a better bid to restart it completly with a hard factory reset.

I personally would recommend you to go directly to an Apple Store nearby you. Here a LINK for you to be able to find the closest store to your location.

Last but not least, don't forget to bring all the receipts you have so they can try to help you better.

We hope you find a solution soon.

Be safe 🙂
