Green Screen on external monitors and Mac lock up. Mac has black screen (thats a TV in the photo; upper right). Ive read this could be linked to the Mac Cache,Chrome Cache, and Adobe Cache. Anyone have a definitive answer on this? Using a J5 adapter

External display screen goes black for a few seconds every few minutes with macbook air 2017 13 Hi all, I have a macbook air 2017 13 inch and a Dell monitor. I use a Belkin TB to hdmi cable to connect to my monitor. What happens is that when connected to the second screen, the second screen turns black for a few seconds (sometimes 10-20 seconds, sometimes just 1 or 2). This seems to happen completely random and sometimes it doesn't happen for 30 minutes whereas at times it happens a few times per minute. My macbook screen does not turn black when the second screen does. I have had the same issue before with another monitor so something tells me that the issue is with my mac and not the monitors. Could anyone help me resolve this issue? I wonder if it could be a faulty cable or if I have to change some of my settings?

MacBook Pro screen turning off and on unless plugged into external display or playing video The screen of my MacBook Pro 2016 turns off and on repeatedly unless it is plugged into an external display or a video is playing. When neither of these conditions are it consistently flickers from on to a black screen. This problem occurred a while ago and it went away when I updated it to Big SurOS. This problem has returned and I have tried updating it again to the now current MontereyOS 12.4. However this problem still persists. I regularly plug it into my TV via HDMI and USB-C adapter to watch things in my room. I also cast to a google chrome cast in my living room. I used to be able to disconnect from either and use my MacBook just fine. What can I do to get rid of this problem?

MacBook Pro screen is black My MacBook screen is completely black, I try to connect to a tv through HDMI cable and I am shown the password area but as soon as I click enter the tv screen goes black. not sure what to do, the computer seems to be working fine but there is a big problem with the display and also the hdmi connection...
