MacBook Air keeps reloading old emails

I have replaced my old MacBook Pro with a MacBook Air OS Monterey. The apple specialist dealer installed all the old data onto the newer model for me.

The MacBook Air now keeps reloading all the old emails at random moments, today it was 15000+ reloaded after lunch when I just opened email to read a new message.

Any ideas what I can do about this or is it normal ?

Thanks

Brian

Hi there Brian,

If you just set up your email accounts on your new Mac, it would be normal for your emails to continue to load as they sync with mail servers. The amount of time it does so depends on how many accounts, emails, and mailboxes you use with the Mail app. The speed of your network could affect this as well. You can also learn more about your Mail settings and how to adjust them to your preference using this article: Change settings in Mail on Mac

If this continues to occur after every account is fully synced or something else is occurring, please provide more details so that we can assist further.

Cheers!
