I can't change the default mail browser from Mail to Outlook.

Hi All,

I cannot change my default e-mail browser from native Mail app to Outlook on my MacBook Air with macOS Ventura.

I have tried both:

  • Via Mail app (Mail > Settings > Default e-mail browser);
  • Via Finder (right click on e-mail file > Open in > Other > set Outlook and click on "Always open in this app").

In second option it opens file in Outlook as requested, but the default e-mail browser however is not changed.

Hopefully someone knows the answer.

On re-reading the question on the e-mail that is Not Inside the Application Outlook or App Mail .

Right Click the e-mail and below image should appear

Choose the Change All and choose the desired Installed Application

An E-mail Client ( Application ) , in you case is either Native Apple Mail or Microsoft Outlook

The Default Web Browser used to check you e-mail from the Mal Server Web Interface is normally set to Safari.

Unless the use has a Third Party Application Web Browser installed, it will be Safari

The user can change the default Web Browser via the image below
