Notes widget not working on iPhone 12 mini

Notes widget not working on iPhone 12 mini. iOS is up to date. Confirmed with friend that it works just fine with iPhone 13 mini. Any tips? Or is it just a software mistake?

Thanks for getting back to us iphoneminitwelv, it’s appreciated.

Did you have a chance to remove and re-add the widget? Sometimes that can help fix issues with them. If you have, try again since we’ve thrown an extra step in. Here’s how once again: Use widgets on your iPhone and iPod touch - Apple Support Once the widget has been removed, restart your iPhone before adding it back again.

If you’re still not seeing your Notes in the widget after this, we recommend contacting Apple Support: Get Support

Take care.

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities iphoneminitwelv,

Removing and re-adding the widget may provide a solution:

How to remove widgets
1: Touch and hold the widget that you want to remove.
2: Tap Remove Widget.
3: Tap Remove again to confirm.

iphoneminitwelv,

We'd like to clarify. Does this behavior persist regardless of the note that you select to be previewed within your Widget? Does the size of the added Widget matter? Also, do any of your notes have a password associated with them?

These details can help isolate the behavior and facilitate additional answers from the community.

Regards.

Hello Drew

The widget I’m trying to use (Access specific note) seems to come in only one size, the smallest square.

I used to be able to choose which note to show, but now I do not even have the option to choose a note when long-pressing on the widget (please refer to screenshot).

Also, I do not have any passwords set for my notes.

When this widget used to work, I was able to see the first few lines of the note I selected.

Please bare with me if details are lacking, since it is my first time posting. Thank you.
