is there a way to access old app data on icloud

I just noticed that iCloud is storing legacy data for some old apps I used to use. ie. there's 5.5megs for Bear, 1.5 megs for MSecure, 99 megs for Paste, etc.

I no longer use these apps but I would be interesting in see what legacy data is still there.

Unfortunately the iCould interface in Ventura only gives me the option to delete the data. As far as I can tell, there's nowhere where I can actually view it in the Finder or download it.

Is there a workaround for this at all? How can I see what legacy app data iCloud is storing on my iCloud instance?

Hello map77,

It is correct that you're unable to view the details about the data. It stores it, but in a format for the app and not for viewing. The only options you'll have via iCloud is to delete the data. Otherwise, you'd have to download the data to the app in question.

Info on deleting and recovering data in iCloud can be found at Access and manage your files in iCloud Drive - Apple Support.
