Multiple monitor order changes when macbook pro awakes

I have two 4K Monitors. Same connections... 1 HDMI and 1 USB-C

Ventura 13.2.1

The computer awakes and the monitors rearrange all the time. It's tedious to keep changing them back. Please help with a solution.

I have the same issue. Almost every time MacBook Pro M1 Pro wakes up from sleeping two monitors out of three get switched. This is really annoying. Only the main display stays always the same.

I use Ventura 13.3.1. However there was the same issue with previous Ventura release, too.

If the display arrangement is not being retained, you'll want to get the computer updated to the current version of Ventura. At this time, it would be 13.1. You can download the latest version in System Settings > General in the sidebar > Software Update on the right.

If the display arrangement still won't save after sleep/wake, you'll want to contact Apple to report the issue: Get Support

It appears for me on 13.2.1. Applying generic color profile instead your monitor's helps, now sleep/restart/physical reconnect works well.

Unfortunately changing Color Profile doesn't help ;-(

Solution

first upgrade to new IOS , adjust the underscan scan first till you see the whole screen, then select custom and set as calibrated . if you reboot your Macbook M1 or M2 , you will see the display setting is saved and stay the same

Try this, it works for me

Before waking up the Mac, wake up all the displays manually by pressing the button on each display.

Now wake up on the Mac and everything should be in place where you left.

Ps: I have a Mac mini with 3 display setup -samsung 49", HP 27", and Samsung 4K 32"
