I have a New MacBook Pro running MacOS Ventura.

M1 Max

10-core CPU

32-core GPU

16-core Neural Engine

64GB unified Memory

8TB SSD

I previously ran LightRoom

1) Performance - Camera Raw - Use Graphics Processor as Custom - Use GPU for Export

2) Performance - Camera Raw Cache Settings - Maximum size 32GB

I don't see any problems at this time but thought there might be some input from the community.

Lightroom Classic Running Slow on M1 Macbook Pro Last month I finally got my new 16" M1 MacBook Pro (exact specs below) and Lightroom Classic is running very slow on it. The main reason I upgraded from my 2012 MacBook Pro to this one was because Lightroom was running slow on the outdated machine. All of my photos that I work on are stored on a 4TB Synology DiskStation. Importing and exporting photos, editing and generally moving around within the program takes forever. I'm so disappointed that after spending a small fortune I'm having the same issue I had on a 10 year old MacBook! I've used Lightroom for many years and don't want to switch to another editing program. Is there anything that can help it run faster? New Mac Studio Configuration Best configuration without breaking the bank to run primarily Lightroom Classic, Photoshop and to some degree Resolve Studio and Priere Pro. Could M4 work or need M3 Max? How much RAM for optimal performance. I run a BenQ 4K HDR momitor and an old delll HD. Also blackmagic 4k device. Coming from 2019 MacPro with Dual radeon and 256gb ram

Recommended system requirements for Adobe CC. I am wondering what the real world requirements are in a Mac, of any model, for running Adobe CC apps. Obviously Adobe publishes it’s minimum and recommended requirements but what about the reality. You start off opening an image in Bridge, do some adjustments in Camera Raw, open it in Photoshop, then you might bring that image into Illustrator or InDesign before finishing off in Acrobat before sending the work off on it’s merry way. That means you could have four or five of the Adobe cpu hungry apps open at once. I’m retired now so this is not for work but beach balls are for the beach, not my display.
