Is activation and use of 2G possible on an iphone 4s at this point? I know that some data plans still allow working 2G after the 3G shutdown so I want to try to use it. I'm using IOS 8.0 if that helps with anything.
2G, 3G, 4G, LTE, VoLTE, 5G all are Carrier Specific features. Contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider), the agency that issued the SIM / eSIM to you.

However iPhone model specific feature is listed here --> Identify your iPhone model - Apple Support . and tap on "See the Technical Specs for Model XXXXXX" under each model and Scroll down to "Cellular and Wireless" section.

Also, how did you get to what's shown in the screenshot in your reply? I can't seem to find that feature on either of the iPhones I have (11 and 4s). Is access to it a carrier specific setting on the device?
