Allow apps to request tracking options greyed out because ‘Apple ID does not meet minimum age requirements’

I need to enable tracking for certain apps but the option is completely greyed out.

The birthdate on my account is 2002/04/30 so I’m not sure why it’s saying that i don’t meet the age requirements. I’ve logged in and out of my apple ID and restarted my phone multiple times yet nothings worked.

I’ve read somewhere that personalised ads need to be turned on too but when i checked that option was also greyed out.

One thing that has worked was signing out of my ‘Media & Purchases’ section in settings but as soon as i need to log back in to install an app on the app store for example, it goes greyed out again. I’m desperate for a permanent solution for this problem. Thanks for any help in advance

Additional Info (things I’ve tried):

iPhone is updated to the latest version
Screen time is turned off
I have tried logging out of my apple ID and restarting many times
My apple ID is managed by me and only me (not a school or business account)

iPhone 11, iOS 16

We're glad you had the opportunity to to complete the steps you have. With the prompt continuing to appear, have you confirmed the birthday using the steps listed below? If not, follow the steps below to view and update the birthday associated to your Apple ID. You can also find these steps outlined in the following article.

"Go to Settings > [your name].
Tap Name, Phone Numbers, Email. You might need to enter your Apple ID password.
Tap Change Birthday or Birthday.
Update your birth date, then tap Done. If you're changing a birth date for a child, learn what to do."

Update the birth date associated with your Apple ID
